The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, understanding, and knowledge. The fear of the Lord keeps you healthy even in old age. The fear of the Lord brings you confidence, riches, prosperity, and honor. The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life. We should ask God to teach us the fear of the Lord!
Ps 34:11 Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
The Bible prophesied that the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ, should be clothed with the seven Spirits of God. The Lord Jesus Christ fulfilled His assignment through the power of the Holy Spirit. He told us to be taught by the Spirit, to walk in the Spirit, to be led by the Holy Spirit, and to be comforted as He was when He walked on this earth.
Isa. 11:2-3 The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. 2. His delight is in the fear of the Lord, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;
Surprisingly, the Lord Jesus Christ delighted the most in the Spirit of the fear of the Lord. Today, people seek wisdom, knowledge, and understanding without the Spirit of the fear of the Lord. But when we study the book of Proverbs, we find that the Spirit of the fear of the Lord is the door or gateway to the other manifestations of the Spirit of the Lord.
Prov. 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. The fear of the Lord is the door or gateway to the gift of knowledge as we can read in First Corinthians chapter 12.
Prov. 2:5 Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, And find the knowledge of God.
The fear of the Lord will help you not only to have the gift of knowledge but to have the knowledge of God. God’s knowledge is omniscient and the fear of the Lord will bring you to a supernatural omniscient knowledge. (1 John 2:20)
Prov. 3:7-8 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil. 8 It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones.
The fear of the Lord will help you to stay away from evil. The fear of the Lord will be health to your flesh and strength to your bones. The fear of the Lord helps you to heal or to stay healthy according to God’s Holy Word.
Prov. 8:13 The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate.
The fear of the Lord is to hate evil. The fear of the Lord will help you to make the right decisions in life. It will help you not to fall into temptation and to resist the attacks of the devil.
Prov. 9:10 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom! We saw that the Spirit of wisdom and understanding and the fear of the Lord are the beginning to enter into God’s wisdom.
Prov. 10:27 The fear of the Lord prolongs days, But the years of the wicked will be shortened.
The fear of the Lord will prolong your days and will give you a prosperous life into your old age. God will satisfy you with a long life when you stay in the fear of the Lord. (Ps. 91:16)
Prov. 14:26 In the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence, And His children will have a place of refuge.
When we walk in the fear of the Lord we can have the full confidence to walk in the light. The fear of the Lord is a place of refuge and protects us from evil. Let’s walk in the fear of the Lord, let’s run our race with confidence.
Prov. 14:27 The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, To turn one away from the snares of death.
The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life! The fear of the Lord will help us to turn from darkness to light, from the power of Satan to the power of God. (Acts 26:18)
Prov. 15:33 The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom, And before honor is humility.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and the instruction of wisdom. The instruction of wisdom is to learn how to operate in wisdom. The fear of the Lord will help to grow in God’s wisdom from glory to glory. The fear of the Lord will teach you wisdom because wisdom is a gift of God. Christ is our wisdom! (1Cor. 1:30)
Prov. 19:23 The fear of the Lord leads to life, And he who has it will abide in satisfaction; He will not be visited with evil.
The fear of the Lord leads to life, the abundant life of the Lord. The fear of the Lord will keep you in His righteousness and His righteousness will keep you from evil. Life is more powerful than death, the blessing is more powerful than the curse, and the light is more powerful than the darkness.
Prov. 22:4 By humility and the fear of the Lord Are riches and honor and life.
The fear of the Lord brings riches, honor, and life. The fear of the Lord is to humble yourself before God. Blessed are the humble (poor in spirit) for theirs is the kingdom of heaven!
Dear Heavenly Father, we ask you that you teach us the fear of the Lord. We want to delight in the fear of the Lord. We desire the gift of the Spirit of the fear of the Lord. Thank you that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, knowledge, health, and abundant life. Open our eyes so that we can see that the fear of the Lord is the door to have a supernatural relationship with you. We ask you for forgiveness of sins and ask you for a new start in the fear of the Lord. We are praying and asking in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ. Amen!
