We should observe the greatest teacher, the greatest preacher, and the greatest evangelist there was on planet Earth. We need to grasp His teaching, preaching, and sharing of the good news. When we study the message of Jesus Christ, we discover that the center of His message was the Kingdom of God. The first words the Lord Jesus Christ preached were about the Kingdom of God.
Matt. 4:17
From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."
The Lord Jesus Christ came to offer the Kingdom of God to the people. This was the Kingdom that people lost from the beginning.
After the Lord Jesus Christ was risen from the dead He appeared to His disciples on different occasions. During these forty days when He was still on earth, He talked with them about the Kingdom of God.
Acts 1:3
to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.
Amazingly, the first and last words of the Lord Jesus Christ were about the Kingdom of God. And we probably all can recall that He gave parable after parable to share about His favorite topic, the Kingdom of God. When we see this truth in the Ancient Scriptures, we can only be surprised why the Kingdom of God is still a mystery to most people in the Church.
The Ancient Scriptures show us why people don’t know about the Kingdom of God or why they don’t understand the Kingdom of God. The first reason is that people are not taught about the Kingdom of God.
Matt. 23:13
But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.
The Kingdom of God is another realm not far from you. The Lord Jesus Christ says that the Kingdom of God is at hand; in other words, the Kingdom of God is nearby. The Kingdom of God is a supernatural realm that is nearby and easily accessed by faith. Paul the apostle told the people in Galatia that it is easier than people think.
Gal. 3:5
Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Having the power of the Holy Spirit and seeing miracles in your life is by the hearing of faith. The supernatural realm of the Kingdom of God opens to you when you believe like a child. The Kingdom of God is the realm of the supernatural. Pharisaical unbelief is the wrong faith, they will tell you, there are no gifts of the Spirit, and the time of miracles is over. That is exactly the opposite of the Scripture and that is why the Lord Jesus Christ called them brood of vipers and snakes. The Pharisees rejected the works of the Holy Spirit by saying that the works of Christ were the power of the devil. The problem with religious people is that they don’t walk in the Spirit but walk in the flesh and that is the second reason why people don’t know the Kingdom of God.
Gal. 5:19-21
Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
We can’t be righteous in the flesh and the works of the flesh are evident. Those who walk in the flesh can’t see the Kingdom of God, they can’t enter the Kingdom of God, and they will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
1Cor. 6:9
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God?
The Ancient Scriptures tell us that nobody is good and that nobody is righteous, and that is why people can not see or experience the Kingdom of God. Now we can understand why the Lord Jesus Christ said that we first must seek His Kingdom and His righteousness.
Some people are not taught about the Kingdom of God and don’t know how to see it and how to enter it. Other people, sometimes unknowingly, walk in the flesh and join a church but also can’t see the Kingdom of God and enter it. This is a great opportunity to make a new start! We can turn from our ignorant and wrong ways and start to live a Kingdom life. That is the meaning of the Kainos Revolution!
Heavenly Father, we come before you and want to turn back to you. Forgive us for our ignorance and sin. Help us to understand the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ about the Kingdom of God. We want to walk and talk like citizens of Heaven; we want to experience the Kingdom of God and You working miracles among us. We thank you for your forgiveness and a new start. In Jesus name!
We need to walk in the Holy Spirit to inherit the Kingdom of God now.
We need fellowship with the Holy Spirit to see the Kingdom of God now.
We need the leading of the Holy Spirit to enter the Kingdom of God now.
We need the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit to live in this dark time now.
John 3:3
Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
John 3:5
Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
