PRAYER FOR REVIVAL

Kainos Revolution

Updated: Apr 1, 2024

We have only one hope for revival, and that is not our preaching or teaching, but an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. The Lord Jesus Christ went back to Heaven so that the Father could send us the Helper/Comforter, the Holy Spirit. We as believers can receive and experience the power of the Holy Spirit by faith.

Gal. 3:5 Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?--

Luke 11:13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!"

God gave us the Holy Spirit so that we can pray according to His will. (Rom. 8:26-27) God gave us the spiritual armor so that we can pray in full authority. (Eph. 6:18-19)

We need the Holy Spirit and the spiritual armor because our wrestling is not with flesh and blood but with principalities and powers of darkness, which only can be defeated and beaten by prayer. (Eph. 6:10-12)

Authoritative Prayer comes by taking our position and taking the place that Christ has prepared for us. The Bible says that we are seated in the heavenly places with Christ on the throne. (Eph. 2:6) Principalities and powers of darkness want to blind you and keep you in ignorance that you have this seat of authority in Christ. These principalities and powers will attack the truth (belt of truth), your righteousness (breastplate of righteousness), the gospel (gospel shoes), your faith (shield of faith), your salvation (Helmet of Salvation), and the Word of God (Sword of the Holy Spirit). When we wear our spiritual armor correctly we are able to pray and destroy the works of the devil from our heavenly seat of authority.

We must be strong and stand firm in the power of His might. We have to stand firm in His truth, in His righteousness, in His gospel. We have to stand firm in His faith, in His salvation, and in His Word. (Eph. 6:13-17) That will make us victorious in prayer!

Eph. 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

We can pray according to God’s will when we pray the promises in God’s Word. We find the promise of revival from God in the book of Acts what tells us that God will pour out of His Spirit on all flesh. This should be our prayer that God’s Spirit will fall, not only on the Church, but on all flesh!

Acts 2:17-18 'And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. 18 And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy.

See also Joel 2:28-29

This is an amazing promise that God in these last days wants to pour out His Spirit on His sons and daughters, His menservants and maidservants, and on ALL flesh. We can prepare the way of the Lord through crying in the wilderness. God wants to show His glory!

Isa. 40:3-5 The voice of one crying in the wilderness: "Prepare the way of the Lord; Make straight in the desert A highway for our God. 4 Every valley shall be exalted And every mountain and hill brought low; The crooked places shall be made straight And the rough places smooth; 5 The glory of the Lord shall be revealed, And all flesh shall see it together; For the mouth of the Lord has spoken."

God wants to show His glory, and He wants us to pray for all people, leaders of nations, and people in authority. God wants all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

1Tim. 2:1-4 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

2Pet. 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

When we find God’s will in the scripture we can pray with full faith and confidence for our family, friends, and relatives, and aspect them to come into the kingdom soon. We can pray with full authority in God’s will and in the name of Jesus Christ to see multitudes of people to come to salvation. Be ready for the harvest!

1John 5:13-14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you that your salvation is available for anyone who believes in your Son, Jesus Christ. We ask You, according Your Word and Your will, that You will pour out the Holy Spirit on all flesh. We ask You for Revival in these last days. Revive our hearts and use us in Your harvest. We pray, in Jesus mighty name, Amen!
